BIOGRAD

biograd
Biograd, town and port in northern Dalmatia, 28 km south of Zadar. Placed both on a small peninsula and on the mainland. The bay of Bosana lies on its northern side, and Soline is on its southern side where there is a large sandy beach surrounded by pine trees.
In front of the town you can find the islands of Planac and Sv. Katarina (with lighthouse). Biograd is a local commercial and traffic center, while its economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism.
Thanks to its location on the most indented part of Croatia’s coast, it offers excellent possibilities for nautical tourism and sailing.
For the same reason, it is also known for beautiful beaches and picturesque bays.
There are many restaurants offering specialties of local and international cuisine in the town.
National parks Paklenica, Kornati and Krka, as well as nature parks Telascica and Vransko Lake lie in the vicinity.

We recommend: Visits to the national parks Paklenica, Kornati and Krka, as well as the nature parks Telascica and Vransko Lake. Additional facilities: One of the largest and best-equipped tennis camps in this part of the Adriatic. It consists of 14 clay tennis courts and 6 courts with hard surface. It is located in a pine forest, next to the beach. Biograd offers excellent conditions for sailing and diving. source: Generalturist
