This is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic, and one of the rare beaches formed vertically to the shore.
Swimming here is quite an event. There are several smaller bays in the vicinity of village Positra with sandy (Prvlja), pebbled (Mala Lozna and Zastivanje) and rocky beaches surrounded by pine forests.
The small and beautiful town of Supetar offers you several pebbled and sandy beaches (ideal for small children) with crystal clear blue sea surrounded by pine forests and everything that is necessary for a pleasant stay, relaxation and fun.

What to see?
Hermitage Blaca
Interesting fact about this hermitage is that it started as a cave where hermits used to hide before Turk invasions. The cave was separated into several spaces for various purposes - kitchens, sleeping rooms, cellars, ovens etc. Later, true masterpieces were added to it, which were made from the island's white stone, who became ivory colored during the years. Among other things, you can visit the observatory and a library. While you approach this unusual architectural work of art, you will fell like approaching a fairytale castle.

Dragon's cave
The Dragon's cave and ornaments in it consitute an interesting sight which we highly recommend you to visit. Glagolitic monks inhabited the cave during the 15th century. There are several other caves on the islands (Stipančić, Dutić and Dračeva luka) and they show how such a way of living was usual. The Dragon's cave is full of ornaments showing unusual characters, dragons and mythological beings, which easily evoke worlds of elves and witches.

Postira
Postira is a small tourist place situated on the northern side of the island. It has a favorable position and a port, which made Positra a fisherman center. Fertile land in its background provides guests homemade food and excellent wines. There are several smaller bays in the area with sandy (Prvlja), pebbled (Mala Lozna and Zastivanje) and rocky beaches surrounded by pine forests. Visit Dragon's cave situated above Murvica village, which has many carved ornaments representing dragons and other mythological beings.

Vidova gora
Vidova gora is the highest mountain on the Adriatic islands. It was named after St. Vid church situated on its top, which is today in a ruinous state. On top of Vidova gora there is a house with a restaurant and stone tables and benches from where you can enjoy the view over other nearby islands of Korčula, Vis and Biševo. When the weather is clear and sunny you can see as far as Apennines.
