PRIMOŠTEN

Primošten, town and port on a small peninsula between Sibenik and Split. It lies 30 km southeast of Sibenik and is connected to the mainland by bridge. Tourism started to develop in the 1960s.
Primosten is nowadays one of the best-known tourist centers in Dalmatia and a very popular summer destination. It has a long pebble beach, rocks, high cliffs that drop sharply into the sea and promenades around the old fortification walls.
The economy is based on agriculture, wine and olive growing, fishing and tourism. The sports and recreational offer includes tennis, table tennis, bowling, beach volleyball and sailing.
Primosten has some 50 restaurants, konobas and other catering facilities. The locals are particularly proud of their specialty, lobster prepared in the traditional way, and the famous red wine Babic, produced from an autochthonous sort of grapes that grow in the famous Primosten vineyards.

Additional facilities:
The town has sailing and diving schools (diving club Submarine). Those interested in nightlife can unwind in the famous disco club Aurora. Hotel Zora has a congress center.
