Senj, a tourist destination and harbor in Velebit channel, the town of Senj is located at the edge of a wooded slope at the foot of Velebit Mountain known for its strong wind (bura) in winter.
Since ancient times, this region was the connection between the inland and the coast. Even Greek and Roman geographers and historians mentioned the harbor by the name of Senia.
