SUKOŠAN

Sukošan, is a place and harbor in the spacious bay of Zlatna luka Sukosan, 11 km southeast of Zadar. It has a population of some 2500. It lies on the Adriatic tourist road in the middle of the Adriatic coast.

The place itself is spacious and quiet – it has a long shoreline and numerous secluded bays, as well as clean, crystal clear sea surrounded by islands belonging to Kornati National Park.

Sukosan has a large marina called Dalmacija, the nature complex Tustica, sandy beaches, well-kept camping sites, nice buildings, olive groves and vineyards, hospitable inhabitants and a long tradition.

The economy is based on agriculture, wine, olive and fruit growing, as well as tourism.

The place is intertwined with traditional narrow streets and walking trails. Due to its numerous restaurants and cafes, Sukosan is called the “place of wine and song”.
